GLHOF is led by a Board of Governors that oversees policies, finances, and programs. Board members serve terms and are responsible for maintaining the mission and integrity of the organization.
Yes. GLHOF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Donations can be made via PayPal (glhofjax@jax.com). Contributions help fund veteran assistance, youth mentorship, and community programs.
Members and supporters can volunteer during community events, fundraisers, or veteran outreach initiatives. Opportunities will be announced on our website and social media.
Some events are open to the public or guests, while others are members-only (e.g., the Annual Meeting or Induction). Event details will specify eligibility.
We host annual and quarterly events such as:

Yes. You may purchase a patch for a retiring Chief or member, but their annual dues must be paid in full before the patch can be purchased.
Members may have various colors for personal wear, but the official Navy Blue jacket serves as our staple uniform jacket for all GLHOF events and appearances.
The Legendary GLHOF Jacket represents commitment, unity, and pride within the organization. Criteria for earning it include active membership, participation in events, and meeting service and volunteer milestones set by the Board.
Members must be U.S. Navy Chiefs in good standing and uphold the core values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment.
Late payments may result in temporary suspension of member privileges until dues are current.

Yes. Members who join after October 1st will prorate their dues based on the remaining months in the membership year.
Annual dues are $100, payable each year on October 1st.
Membership is open to all U.S. Navy Chiefs (Active, Retired, or Honorably Discharged). Associate membership may be extended to select individuals who support the mission and values of the organization.
Our mission is to celebrate excellence, preserve heritage, and support the Chief Petty Officer community through recognition, development, and outreach.
